Mansion Day Elementary School Reviews

I placed my daughter in Mansion Day School after a year of attending Westerville schools. I am extremely impressed by the dedication of the teachers and staff members. My daughter has excelled tremondously since the school year started and now LOVES school and learning!! The love and commitment the teachers & staff show is outstanding!

My son is in pre-kindergarten and has attended the school for 19 months. He excels academically and exhibits great leadership. The skills taught at Mansion Day transcend academic achievement. The teachers truly care about the well being of the students. Parents at the school share a common desire of raising successful, intelligent children. A family atmosphere exists where all the kids know each other and can name everyone's parents. Mansion Day is a school like no other and every child that attends is prepared for future excellence.

Our daughter started at Mansion this year and she absolutely loves it. The curriculum is challenging. She has learned so much since the start of school. She feels comfortable and we are thrilled at her progress. The teachers are caring and knowledgable. The administration sets the vision and tone for the school. My husband and I highly recommend Mansion Day School.

We love this school, the academics and social aspects of the school can't be beat. The loving nurturing that our son receives , on top of the academics that challenge him are exactly what we want for our son. I would recommend this school to everyone I come in contact with. Love it!

I am on my second child attending Mansion Day School. I highly recommend the school for its educational excellence, caring teachers, strong parent support and family atmosphere. After 4 years (2nd-5th) at Mansion Day School my eldest child has been able to transition to Wellington and maintain high academic excellence. Mansion Day School is ISACS accredited which reinforces the level of excellence maintained at this school. I expect the foundation that Mansion Day School has set will be carried on throughout my children s academic career.

We've been at Mansion for 6 years. I think it's as close to perfect as a school can be. My son loves it and hates leaving. It offers academics in small classes in a loving, disciplined environment. Students build confidence and self-esteem during class presentations or public speaking. They build friendships that last long after graduation. Respect for one another is taught & expected, so older kids often play with/look out for the younger ones. Mansion has done well at making education fun. I have not experienced any difficulties. The school definitely changed for the better with the new administration. The staff is more available; the office staff/principal maintain an open door policy and are quick to address any parental issue. A security system keeps strangers out. The building is being updated and expanded for the school's growth. All this and a premium education for less - you can't beat it!

Both of our children have attended Mansion Day School. Our son attended from the first grade through the fifth grade and our daughter has attended since pre-school and is now a fifth grader. Our son easily transitioned to The Columbus Academy as a 6ht grader and is flourishing, in large part to the foundation that was laid at Mansion Day School. Our daughter is excelling as well. Mansion has undergone an Administrative change and that change was for the better. The Head of School has shown an unprecedented commitment to the growth and development of the students. Mansion's accreditation is solid and in tact. Mansion is producing the same high quality of students that the other three elite Independent schools in in the city are producing at half the cost. Mansion is not perfect, but no less pefect than the other schools. I highly recommend Mansion Day School.

This is my fourth year at Mansion Day School. It is a very special place where students and parents alike are very vital parts of an extended family. The curriculum is competitive and the administration is fair and accessible. I find myself praising the school and its academic and social programming to all who care to listen. There is no other place quite like Mansion Day School.

My children have attended Mansion for four years and not only do they love the school, but we love the results. After comparing Mansion to other area schools, we are pleased with the curriculum and the nurturing yet rigorous classroom experience. While it was not a primary variable for my choosing the school, I am glad that Mansion IS an accredited member of ISACS.

I enrolled my son in the Mansion Day School after finding limited success and progression in Reynoldsburg Public Schools. I transitioned my son to Mansion School after enrolling him in their summer enrichment and tutoring programs. The proof is in the pudding, his pre and post test results showed a 1 year and 4 month improvement in just three months. He is now a well adjusted first grader who looks forward to going to school each day. In addition, my son's self esteem and confidence has improved tremendously. I attribute the improvement to the small class ratios and the loving environment created by the teachers who provide constant encouragement and positive reinforcement.

I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion which is why I will share mine. This school has been undergoing a transition to new management and the change is for the worst. Currently their ISACS accreditation is being revoked. Four of ten teachers quit this past year and after hearing how much they were paid, I don't blame them. I was appalled at how unorganized the office became during this past year. I had to prove that I had already paid tuition because they lost my payment. Prepaid field trips frequently canceled because the office forgot to schedule. There were days that my son didn't have a sub because no one called for one. I don't agree with the way my son was taught either. When I asked my son what he did during the day he would reply, 'we did worksheets all day.' There are better schools out there!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Mansion Day School is a WONDERFUL school. The academics are well beyond fair--they are excellent. How often does one see a three year old who has great public speaking skills, is beginning to read and has fairly good writing skills. Many of the children at Mansion leave after the 5th grade and are able to compete among the best at some of Columbus' top private schools. While there are times when the communication has been less than efficient, let's be fair to say that MDS recently underwent a positive change in administration and with it came the normal bumps and bruises of transition. As to questionable qualifications, MDS is a member of ISACS--just like other private schools in the area. All of the teachers are highly qualified. MDS isn't 'perfect', it is exceptional. Check out this quiet treasure.

I was very disappointed with this school after hearing only rave reviews; I decided to enroll my son. The school is quite unorganized and the communication to parents is abysmal. The academics are fair and the school does a good job with dramatic arts; however, you do not get your money s worth with this establishment. Don t be fooled by the tuition rates (few of the activities are included in this rate, neither are lunches, school supplies, snacks etc.), the activities listed in the brochure, or the tour, which is conveniently scheduled during the 2 hours that the children are actually learning. The school administration is inflexible and has questionable qualifications to lead an academic institution. The toys were never clean (filthy) and the children sleep for 2.5 hours during nap time. The sign in and sign out sheet is simply there for show as parents are not required to sign. beware!

My son attended this school from Kindergarten thru Second grade. It is a great school with wonderful leadership and teachers. It is academically challenging, but also looks at the softer skills like public speaking, art, and singing. A great family environment. We only moved our son because we relocated!

Excellent school all around. Parents are extremely involved. An organization, L.U.P.E. is put together annually by the parents. Recently built an arts conservatory, to nurture interest in the arts: a dance hall, band room, black box theatre, photography dark room, wood shop, full fledged recording studio and much more. Math and science are among their best academic programs. English is strong as well. AP Classes are also popular among the courses students are taking.
