I love GMSE. My daughter actually enjoys school! I love how everyone is involved, and the gifted program is very good! I especially like the Renaissance program and I feel every school should have a program similiar to it.

GMSE, as it is affectionately known, is the epitome of excellence in academics that are balanced well with extracurricular activities. The Administrative and Instructional Leadership ensures each child has the opportunity to participate in class, sports or academic clubs so that the child can experience the 'joy' of receiving rewards for hard work. Parent participation is very high in the PTO and other school activities. Volunteers are always ready to assist with tutoring, school dances, helping teachers and coaches to get the work done that might take away instruction time. We celebrate the school's achievements, and use a 'lessons learned' approach to improve results. If you want your child to excel, come to the school that will have an entire community willing make that will happen.

GMSE is a great public school, known for its strong academic program. The best way to get the most out of the curriculum is to combine student motivation with strong parental support. The homework is given in liberal doses. Families whose members advocate a strong work ethic and commit to positive reinforcement will see their student thrive and become well prepared for high school.
